There is a work around. When you get the error message, try removing the last part of the url in the address bar of your browser.

You see this: https://www.refworks.com/refworks/loginredirect.asp

You must remove the “loginredirect.asp” part, so you only have this left: https://www.refworks.com/refworks/

Then hit [ENTER].

In our own article search an export to RefWorks will work, however sometimes (!) it will not have publication year.

If you do not wish to use the normal remote access approach for accessing journals of campus – SAGE now offers mobile vouchering.

Mobile vouchers allow users at the university to tie their mobile device to the online subscriptions on Sage journals – allowing off campus access while on the go!

Each user’s mobile device must be vouched for individually and they can obtain a voucher following these simple step-by-step instructions:

1. Put their device on your institution’s network and open the mobile journal site that they would like to obtain a voucher for (for example http://m.ajs.sagepub.com)
2. Select “Authorize This Device”
3. Complete the “Authenticate Mobile Device for SAGE Journals” form and click submit
4. Copy the voucher code provided on the next screen and click on URL provided
5. Enter the voucher code and select “Get access”

Once they’ve obtained a voucher from one journal site, they can use that voucher to access all journals based on your library’s e-access subscriptions. Vouchers will be valid for approximately 6 months as long as your subscriptions are active.

Learn more about this new offering with our Mobile Voucher Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ).

Access this eBook through a mobile site or a tablet browser

This eBook is provided by Aalborg University Library through the CRC Netbase platform and besides from accessing it on your computer or your tablet browser, you can access it through a mobile site on an Ipad or an Iphone.

It is possible to use the feature “add to home screen” on your iPad/iPhone to create a shortcut to the CRC Netbase platform, and access the eBook through this. Be aware that accessing subscribed content requires campus network access. For off campus access to subscribed content from Aalborg University Library, you can register for an account and use the feature “pair your mobile device”.

This is how you access the CRC Netbase platform through the mobile-site

On your iPad, go to our list of ebook vendors and choose the option CRC Netbase while you’re on the campus wireless network (AAU-1x)

Make a search (E.g. “Chrome”)

Choose the “settings” page and register under “My account”

Log in with your CRC Netbase credentials, and a confirmation email is sent to your email account for you to verify.

Go to CRC Netbase main website, and choose “mobile” at the upper right corner.

Press “Pair device” and write down the code obtained.

Go to mobile site, choose settings, choose device pairing, and enter the code.

Your device is now paired for 90 days and you will have access to Aalborg University Library’s subscribed content when you are off campus access.

The mobile site is compatible with the following browsers: Safari, Chrome and Opera Mini on your iPad.

Download options to your iPad/iPhone

You can view a pdf file on screen, or download it (temporarily) to Bluefire Reader and use the various tools in this reader. You can only download or view chapters from the book and not the entire book at one time.

This eBook is provided by Aalborg University Library through the Thieme eBook Library platform and besides from accessing it on your computer or your tablet browser, you can access it through an app on an iPad.

This is how you access the Thieme eBook Library platform through the app

In order to download Thieme E-Book Library books to your iPad, you will need to download and install the iPublishCentral Reader App first. This can be done in via the iPad app store:

Browse the AppStore on your iPad (search for “iPublishCentral Reader”).

From within the university wireless (AAU-1x) network launch your iPad browser (Note: Thieme eBook Library currently support Safari browser only) and navigate to http://ebooks.thieme.com.zorac.aub.aau.dk/bookshelf

On the opening page, you will find the list of titles provided in the library. Browse to a title of interest and click on the “Download” link. This will take you to the Download page. As an iPad user you will see a download icon for the iPad.

Click the icon and the “open reader” file. Your title will download into your iPad’s Bookshelf within the iPublishCentral Reader App(Note: a title can only be downloaded once per session. However, beyond that, you are free to delete and/or reinstall any given title on your iPad)

Reading a Thieme eBook on an iPad:

Open the iPublishCentral Reader and tap on a downloaded title to access the book.

If you tap the top bar, a menu of icons will appear. On the left hand side icons are presented for the back button and table of contents. On the right hand side icons for settings, search, notes and bookmarks are presented.

To delete a title, return to the iPad’s Bookshelf and make a “long tap” (keep your finger on the cover) until a delete icon appears at the corner of the book cover.

You can change the settings to enable single or double page view as default. Double page view will only work in a landscape/horizontally orientated iPad

Notes and bookmarks that are contained in your PC account are not linked or transferred to the iPad app (the iPad app does not allow or require the user to log in)

For further information about the Thieme eBook Library app, search options and so on, see theincluded manual.

The answer is – they do OECD iLibrary is not a new launch for OECD but their old Source OECD is still running and OECD would like their users to transit to their “new” platform OECD iLibrary.

So they have made a YouTube channel (http://www.youtube.com/OECDiLibrary) with videos that hopefully will help you feel more at home at OECD iLibrary

Yesterday SpringerLink got a whole new feel and look. Actually their site moved to a whole new provider. We have recieved the following from Springer – and we hope it can be of assistance to you.

“We are pleased to inform you that SpringerLink is moving to a new and much improved platform. The new SpringerLink is faster, easier to use and optimized for most mobile devices.

Redirection and Linking:

Springer will redirect all users to the new SpringerLink upon migration. Meaning that if you try to access any Springer content within your institution you will be redirected to link.springer.com. So whether you find a Springer article on Google, via our catalogue or even using an old Springerlink direct url, you will be redirected to the article on link.springer.com.

My SpringerLink:

Individual accounts from the old SpringerLink will unfortunately not be migrated.

You will need to go to link.springer.com and set up a new profile/account. Make sure to do this while within the institution’s IP range as you will then be automatically associated to the institution’s access rights. Meaning that remote access to link.springer.com is set up immediately.

Training:

Webinar training sessions are available throughout the coming months. During these sessions you will be informed about features and functionalities of link.springer.com. There will also be plenty of time to ask questions.

We invite you to register for one of these training sessions via the Springer training page. An extensive FAQ and future training dates can be found here.”
